Sun December 2   ALL SCHUBERT program of piano chamber music. violinist Nicholas Kitchen, cellist Yeesun Kim, and pianist Meng-Chieh Liu. location: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Durham. Sunday at 3:00 pm There will be a half hour Pre-Concert Discussion. 4:00 pm Concert begins. A reception will follow the concert. Tickets ($25) are available at the door with free admission for anyone 18 or under. Sunday at 4:00 pm

Thu December 13   Clayton Piano Festival presents its third annual Holiday Gala. Guest artists are Josh and Lindsey Wright, duo pianists. Program to include holiday favorites from both classical and popular repertoire, music from TV and movies, and a selection of timeless masterworks from the classical repertoire. 7:30 p.m. at the Barn at Broadslab, 4682 State Hwy 50 in Benson, NC

Sun January 6   St. Stephen's concert series presents Andrew Tyson, pianist. Pre-concert discussion at 3 p.m. followed by performance at 4 p.m. Program includes three pieces from Messiaen's Vingt Regards sur L'Enfant Jesus, Liszt's Obermann's Valley, and Chopin Sonata No. 3. St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Durham.

Fri January 11   Lucas Debargue, piano.Program to include Chopin Polonaise Op. 53, Barcarolle Op. 60, Scherzo in B-flat minor, Nocturne in C minor Op. 48, Scherzo in B minor. Also, Bach Toccata BWV 911 and Beethoven Sonata No. 32 in C minor. At 8 p.m. in UNC's Memorial Hall, Chapel Hill.
